William Bowie was born in Scotland in 1807 and came to Canada where he married Margaret Cunningham ( 1826-1873) in 1842 there children were:

James (1850) married Johanna Kelly(1854-1892) and their children were Arthur (1882) married Margaret Nash, John George (1884-) married Ellen Olive Carlson and their children were John, Clarence, Evelyn, Irene, Helen, Jean. Agnes (1893-1923) and Mary ( -1917).

Frances (1854) married James W Keefe and their children were James E Keefe 1880, Ella Florence (1878-1899) and John Alfred (1882)
