I'm Back

It has been an eventful nine months with having a baby, moving across the country, setting up house, kids in school, being a mother of five and a wife of a very busy man.
Keeping up with technology is some what daunting. I am writing this post on my iPhone. I wanted to see how it would work. So far so good.
Lessons learned in writing blogs so far in 2013
1. One can write a blog using a smart phone, iPad or tablet
2. Apps! There are many out there that I am exploring...will post ones that I like.
3. I love that even when I have not posted in a long time, I am still contacted by cousins and our sharing of info still happens.

  1. Hi,

I remember Grandma Russell. When my dad was on his mission Grandma and Grandpa Jack lived with us. Then they moved to an apartment in an old houseon 10th or 11th avenue south west, in the Beltline district, not to far from us. We would go to their apartment often, it was on the second floor and they had to share the bathroom with all the other apartments on that floor. I don't remember too much else about that apartment except that it was really small especially the kitchen.
They moved down the street from us for a few years and we would go and visit them quite often. When they moved to Lethbridge we wouldn't see them so often.
Grandma was a lot of fun. She would say things like, "Wouldn't that shock your relatives from the old country?" and "Wouldn't that knock your socks off?"
When we went for dinner she would always forget the salad in the fridge until we had finished eating. Then she would tell us she forgot it and we would eat the salad after the dessert!
We still always remind ourselves to get the salad out of the fridge befroe we start a family meal. It helps bring back fond memories of Grandma.
